To complement our state-of-the-art high field MRI machine, Cardinal MRI Center has acquired an Open MRI system. The newly installed Siemens Concerto MRI System is open on three sides and eliminates the need for patients to be placed inside a tunnel. The magnet is specially designed to accommodate patients that find standard MRI systems too confining and noisy.

Advantages of the Siemens Concerto MRI System include the following:

- Open and spacious design (open on three sides)

- Less noisy compared to standard MRI systems (quiet internal magnets)

- Ability to perform specialized studies using the latest technology

- Excellent image quality

- Eliminates the need for sedation in many anxious patients

- In children, open design allows increased eye/physical contact with parents

- Ability to accommodate larger patients

The addition of the Siemens Concerto System complements our high field MRI system and allows us to provide even better service to the residents of our community.
